Well, spooky season has kicked off. Here that means I’m watching the tree change colours outside my window, digging out my scented candles, and the first five stories from the October writing event are done. Early autumn might be my favourite time of year - there’s still a reasonable amount of sunshine, warm days yet cool nights, comfort food hits just right in the chill, and SAD hasn’t kicked in yet.
This week’s microfictions:
A Demonic Force Meets A Father's Resolve
If only more parenting books thought to mention signs of demonic possession.
Worse Than Alone
Kelly woke to find the internet down - and the city empty. Surely there has to be SOMEONE else left?
No Laughing Matter
Of all the curses to sweep the world… clowns. At least turning into a zombie had a dignified sort of pathos.
Stranded With The News
Before the clouds descended, Fran had lamented not being connected to the city…
Breath Of The Clockwork Heart
Bell-Tender Heath watched the tower’s clockwork tick and whir. Everything was exactly as it should be. He didn’t look out the windows.
